How to Apply

What is the EJ Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program?
Cultivating Healthy Environments – National-Central is a part of the national Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaking program (EJ TCGM). We are partnering with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to support communities in EPA regions 4, 5, 6, and 7 to cultivate and sustain healthy environments. The program makes it easier for community-based organizations to apply for federal grants that address environmental issues. No cost matching is necessary.
Our grantmaking program is designed to empower communities to pursue grants that address local priorities. The TCGM National-Central grantmaking program serves 23 states and over 96 state and federally recognized Tribes and Tribal Nations. There are also TCGM programs serving organizations within EPA Region 4, Region 5, Region 6, and Region 7.
Other Thriving Communities programs include EPA Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Centers (TCTAC) and Community Change Grants.
